An Imperial Branche is a drill of braided cotton which is dipped into a bath of sea salt, then dried and stretched. Finally it is again dipped into a warm bath of Beeswax and individually hand stretched to obtain a stiff drill.
This set contains 1 Oil Lamp in glass amber color (d. ~ 8 cm, h ~ 4 cm). Each Lamp is unique unique because it is hand blown and in the mass tinged. It is delivered with 1 Lot of 6 twisted Imperial Branches ready-to-use as well as a lead seal with the GRENIER IMPERIAL mark.
Instruction for use : Take an Imperial Branche ready tu use and spend the point by the hole of the lead seal supplied for that purpose. Flaten the point which overtakes under the base of the lead and place the whole in the middle of the Oil Lamp. Fill it with any Vegetable Alimentary Oil. Light the extremity of the drill and, at the end of one moment, adjust the size of the flame by adding some drops of oil. You so obtain, and by following the advices of utilsation, a beautiful flame with more than 16 hours of odourless combustion.
Advices ot utilisation : make sure that the oil which you use is always for temperature of a warmed room. If, during the combustion, the drill produces a too high flame, or if the oil becomes too warm, straighten the level of the lamp by adding it some drops of oil. If you put out the flamme, always make it by flooding the drill with some oil.
This is a craft product made with natural elements. Use it on an appropriate support of the fact that the oil lamp can become very warm. Never leave it without surveillance and hold the children aside.
